Caspar Vos (1988) started his piano education with Frank Peters at the Artez-Conservatory in Arnhem, he continued his studies with prof. Jan Wijn at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Caspar Vos concluded his Master studies in 2014 with the Highest Distinction.
Caspar competed successfully in numerous national and international competitions:
- the 1st prize at ‘The Grand Dominique Competition’
- the 2nd prize at ‘The 18th International Piano Competition Jean Francaix’ in Paris
- the 2nd prize at ‘Verão Clássico’ in Lisbon
- the 3rd prize at ‘The 8th International Mayenne Piano Competition' in Mayenne
In 2015 Caspar was nominated as one of the four finalist for 'The Dutch Classical Award 2016/2017'. He received the audience award for his original new concept 'a program without a program'. Caspar also won prizes at the Prinses Christina Competition in Holland and he was finalist during the ‘The 17th Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition’ in Lodz, Poland.
In 2011 Caspar played Prokofiev’s first piano concerto with the Amsterdam Conservatory Orchestra conducted by Ed Spanjaard. This concert was broadcasted on Radio 4. Caspar regularly performs on national television and radio.
Caspar followed masterclasses with internationally renowned pianist like Dimitri Bashkirov, Nikolai Lugansky, Severin von Eckardstein, Pavel Nersessian, Matti Raekallio, Eldar Nebolsin, Denis Pascal, Malcolm Bilson, Noam Greenberg and Pascal Devoyon. Caspar participated in multiple international music courses and festivals. He plays frequently at ‘The International Chambermusic Festival Schiermonnikoog’ and he gave a concert with internationally acclaimed double bass player Duncan McTier during ‘The Aurora Festival’ in Sweden.
